RYZA: Affirmation Alarm Clock
An alarm you
have to mean.
RYZA does not let you swipe it away. To dismiss it you speak the words you chose the night before, out loud, in your own voice — so the day starts on a decision instead of a reflex.

Three steps, and the snooze button loses.
RYZA replaces a reflex with a decision. It takes about forty seconds to set up and it only has to work once a day.
Write tonight's line
Pick the sentence you will have to say tomorrow. Yours, in your words — not a generic phrase from a list.
Say it in the morning
The alarm keeps going until it hears you. Recognition runs entirely on the device, so nothing is uploaded.
See what it changed
RYZA records how long it took you to speak each morning, so you can watch the number come down over weeks.
Proof that this morning went better than last Tuesday.
Every dismissal is timed and logged. Over a few weeks the pattern gets hard to argue with — which is the entire point of measuring it.
- Time-to-wake for every alarm, in seconds
- Weekly and monthly trend, no account needed
- Everything stored locally on your iPhone

Before you install it
The six questions people actually ask about RYZA, answered without the word "seamlessly".
- Do I have to say the words exactly?
- No. Word-for-word matching punishes you for the recogniser’s mistakes rather than your own, so RYZA scores how closely the reading matches instead of demanding a perfect transcript.
- What happens if it cannot understand me?
- The alarm does not stop just because recognition failed. RYZA falls back to putting the words of your line back in the right order, so a rough morning voice never leaves you unable to turn the alarm off — and it never leaves the alarm switching itself off either.
- Is my voice recorded or uploaded?
- No. Speech recognition runs on the phone itself, so the audio is never sent anywhere and there is no server holding recordings of anyone reading their own sentences at six in the morning.
- Is RYZA free?
- RYZA is free to download and free to use every morning. The free app includes unlimited ordinary alarms, one alarm dismissed by voice, and 120 written lines across six categories; a paid tier adds voice dismissal on every alarm, a larger library, and lines you write yourself.
- Do I need an account?
- No. There is no sign-up, no email address and no profile to create — the app works the moment it is installed, and the wake statistics it keeps are stored on the phone.
- Which phones does RYZA run on?
- RYZA runs on iPhone and on Android, and the two are the same app rather than one real version and one port.
